As part of the Youngeun Artist Project, Youngeun Museum of Contemporary Art will present Recurrence, a solo exhibition by Choi Sungho, from July 4 to July 26. This exhibition marks the artist’s first solo show in Korea in his approximately 45-year artistic career. Featuring both his early abstract works created after moving abroad and large-scale new works, the exhibition explores the distance and resonance between two different periods of his practice. Rather than revisiting the past, Recurrence reflects on the trajectory of his work over the past 45 years, reexamining it from a contemporary perspective and renewing questions about the essence of existence.
