Youngeun Museum of Contemporary Art presents Light’s Presence, a special exhibition by Park Hyunjoo, whose practice has long centered on the themes of light and color. Bringing together works spanning from the semi-relief Inner Light and Light Monad series, which incorporate gold leaf and have been developed since the early 2000s, to the more recent Into Light paintings on canvas, the exhibition offers a comprehensive view of the artist’s sustained exploration of light and color as fundamental elements of painting.
